Service LearningIt is our desire to empower students to change the world around them through their actions. After all, it is very clear in God’s word that faith without works is dead. Throughout the year, all of our students have opportunities to engage in service activities in the community in which we live and to even the world. Cross Creek has partnered with area churches and nonprofit organizations including Samaritan's Purse: Operation Christmas Child to provide service learning opportunities through volunteerism. Through these experiences, it is our hope that students will become servant leaders. Cross Creek’s Board of Directors feels strongly that our students should engage in service to others as part of the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Students need to know that there is a world in need beyond our own family and church. High school students must complete 75 hours of volunteer service in a non-profit organization or church as part of their high school graduation requirements. |
